Contemporary Art

Welcome to the Studio

Born in 1980 in Cape Town, South Africa, my lifelong focus on art, science, engineering, and music began at an early age, shaping a lifelong pursuit of curiosity and creative exploration. I sold my first sculptural artworks through a commercial gallery at age 16 and I was immediately converted to the ancient practice of making a living directly with my hands.

Drawing from personal history, psychology, and anthropology, I make artworks that look for human connection.  Themes of home, loss, belonging, and "otherness" are your invitation to consider the patterns of thought and behaviour inherent in out mutual humanity.

I fundamentally want to challenge generational pathologies at the intersection of art, science, and philosophy using aesthetics as a tool to dig into the discoverable truths that bind humanity together, transcending cultural barriers and time itself.
